Eglal Ahmed is a Sudanese artist living and working in Denver, Colorado. She received her  B.A in fine arts in painting from the College of Fine and Applied Arts at Sudan University. She received her second BA in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Colorado. Eglal is passionate about painting and drawing. She specializes in portraits and women figures, she finds joy expressing their emotions, experiences, dreams as well as perceptions of their beauty, through different materials and mediums. She also enjoys painting landscapes, abstracts, animals, and interiors, a throwback to her former life as an interior designer. Eglal believes that her painting is not about technique or copying, it’s about what she feels. as an artist, she paints from her heart as well as her head. Eglal an award winner of 2020 1st Annual Women in Watercolor International Juried Competition. And her works have been selected as a semifinalist winner in artbox. Project Zurich 2.0 swiss art expo 2020. Eglal works have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Khartoum Sudan, Washington DC, Philadelphia,  Zurich Switzerland and Denver, Aurora, Loveland in Colorado.
